Lauren Yandell was born in Victoria, Texas in 1985. She is a visual artist and Senior Lecturer of Art & Design at the University of Houston – Clear Lake in Houston, Texas. Her studio practice utilizes painting, collage and mixed-media techniques to explore various themes like motherhood, relationships and daily life. Yandell earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas in 2008 with a double major in Studio Art and Communication Design. In 2012 she earned a Master of Fine Arts from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, Texas. She has exhibited nationally in exhibitions spanning from New York to California. Yandell currently resides in Pearland, Texas with her family.
